Лили – Разве он не страшный? Честное слово, он самый классный парень
)). Он супер-красивый парень, и он очень интенсивен. Когда Джон пришёл на съёмки, все просто замерли, потому что он привнёс всю, какую только возможно, интенсивность для Валентина. Это было прекрасно. Потому что в сценах с ним я, действительно, испытывала страх. Он импровизировал. Так в сцене с Чашей Смерти, он сказал мне: «Пей», я отвечаю – «И не собираюсь пить!» . Он добавляет снова: «Пей». Это было не по сценарию, но вызвало, реально, дрожь. Он как бы по-настоящему стал Валентином, и я была напугана… Я думаю, что когда он перешёл к сценам с Джейми, и я следом за ним, он разжигал наш страх, и это улучшило сцены, потому что это было нечто новое. Он идеальный Валентин, заманчивый и привлекательный, но в то же время весьма злой. Я думаю, это был прекрасный выбор актёра.

LC: Isn’t he scary?! Honestly, he’s like the coolest guy. He’s super sweet, not a mean bone in his body, but he is the definition of intense. When he walked on set everyone just froze because he brought that intensity that only Valentine can. It was perfect because in the scenes with him I was genuinely terrified of him. He would improv things. Like when I’m standing there and he has the [Mortal] Cup and he’s like, ‘Drink it,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m not going to drink it.’ And then he added that ‘Drink it!’ That was totally not scripted and that’s why I’m like shaking. He did that all the time with things or he’d like make a motion and then I’d jump. He really became Valentine and I was genuinely terrified. I think when he came into the set, with the scenes with Jamie and I and him, it just elevated our fear but also elevated our performance because he brought something totally new to the table. He’s like the perfect Valentine because he’s just so alluring and appealing but at the same time so evil, and that’s what Valentine is. I think he was drop-dead perfect casting ". Об "Орудиях Смерти..." -- критики не были добры к фильму, и пророчили ему низкий рейтинг, но -- зрителям фильм нравится!) И -- уже приличный кассовый сбор в Америке. ))
